Waste gas and dust removal system
  for superphosphate of lime production
                   facilities


As fluorine is included in mineral phosphate, raw material of superphosphate of lime fertilizer, fluorine inside the waste gas at production facilities should be removed to the regulation. Also, as silica is included in raw material, dust plugging is the serious problem. However, the most serious problem is that SiF4 is generated inside the production facilities and included in waste gas. By absorbing fluorine from SiF4 by water, a large amount of silica is generated as following;

  3SiF4 + 2H2O → 2H2SiF6 + SiO2

Therefore, fluorine removal is operated by duct void spray because it is easy to occur plugging immediately, no matter what filler the user use. So it is getting difficult to achieve the environmental regulation. Our filler, by spraying heavily to the filler by horizontal gas flow method, gas-liquid contact of the filler is very good, so it is easy to clean the silica. Especially at gas inlet, by reducing the number of filler, spray liquid can cover every surface of the filler and it prevents dust plugging.

The system is working stably at the condition below;

Gas volume : 24,000Nm3/Hr
Inlet Fluorine density : 3,000〜8,000mg/Nm3
Outlet Fluorine density : below 5mg/Nm3
Inlet Dust density : 3,000〜4,000mg/Nm3
Outlet Dust density : below 5mg/Nm3
